Use case
Policies and legal matters
Documents with owners, review periods and notice dates — reviewed on schedule and never quietly out of date.
The situation
Policies, agreements and compliance documents carry obligations: review annually, renew by a date, give notice within a window. The obligations are recorded inside the documents themselves, where nobody looks until it is too late. Organisational details — entity names, addresses, governing law — are typed into each document by hand and drift apart.
How DocOpsly handles it
- Organisational details come from the workspace. Legal name, address, governing law and primary contact are reused by templates and updated in one place.
- Matter conventions apply. Owner and role, date and currency formatting are consistent across every document without reviewers checking.
- Review periods are standardised. Each document type has a default review period; documents due for review are drafted for update and queued.
- Renewal reminders run ahead of deadlines. Configured lead times generate predictable prompts to the owner, with escalation.
- Expiring links keep review copies from circulating indefinitely.
Human oversight
Nothing about a policy or legal matter is published without approval from the designated owner. Agents prepare; people decide — which is exactly the control a legal or compliance function requires.
Good fit if
- You manage many documents with dates and have missed one before.
- Entity details appear in dozens of documents and are not always the same.
- Annual reviews happen late or not at all.
